Laser Cutting
Our standard materials have a mill finish, which is a dull, low-luster finish. However, if you're looking for something different, we also offer orbital DA sanding and edge knock-off to prep your parts for final paint or coatings.
For a nice, dull/matt finish that easily hides scratches, we also offer DA/Orbital sander finishes on parts. Using an 80-grit sanding pad, we can achieve a consistent finish that's perfect for a variety of applications. We can use specialty pads to achieve even higher levels of finish upon request.
Finally, we offer deburring of parts edges using a unitized or convoluted wheel. This process softens the edges and brightens the cut face, resulting in a cleaner, more professional look. Please note that this form of deburring is limited by the size and shape of the parts being deburred.
Deburring
At Kilne Mfg., precision is our top priority. We utilize advanced kerf compensation techniques for both inside and outside contours, enabling us to achieve extremely tight tolerances of +/-0.005" or better.
To ensure the highest level of accuracy, we always conduct a thorough first-part inspection on all laser cutting projects, as well as regular spot checks throughout the production process.
We understand that every project is unique, and we're happy to accommodate special requests for tolerances. Just let us know what you need, and our expert team will work with you to achieve the results you're looking for.
